Seclam Food
Pasteurized milk was introduced to the Egyptian market in 1952 by Mr. Jan Landert (a Swiss national). Production was very modest at the beginning, simple pasteurization and filling units were used for the production of milk and all products were distributed under the name 'Mandara Farm.' After several months a modern dairy factory farm was constructed and named SECLAM. The Seclam factory is regarded as the first dairy plant in the Middle East.
